Name and Fame

Name and Fame

The idea behind this page is to show DV owners the shops to go for excellent service.

In essence it is the opposite to Name and Shame.

If you have found a shop which meets your standards of service then drop me a line

For brilliant service and advice and a cup of coffee go to www.glfacc.demon.co.uk

They do made to measure leathers for a very good price and other clothing. I bought a pair it, takes about 3 weeks to do and I am really pleased with them.

Everyone seems to put dealers down as far as servicing is concerned, I would just like to praise my dealer, J.S.Gedge in St.Leonards East Sussex. When I bought my Deauville New in April 2003, I paid full list price for it but the deal included 2 years free servicing. I don't even have to pay for Oil and Plugs. I cover 5oo miles per week, that is a service every 8 weeks, A saving for me of almost £2000 over the next 2 years. They always provide a loan bike and there seems to be a neverending supply of coffee and bike chat in the shop

hello again I'd like to thank you for making a fantastic website and share my good fortune with everybody, the subject is tyres I was shocked at some quotes I got to replace the tyres on my bike until I was told of "fwr tyres". They quoted me £181 including removal-balance -refit-valves and all done within an hour! I had chosen mid range tyres Avon 120/70 zr17 av45-st & 150/70 zr17 av46-st if you see fit I'd like to recommend them to other owners to stop them being robbed as I nearly was. Their phone no is 0207 820 7818 their website is www.fwr.co.uk their address is 330 Kennington road London SE11 4LD they do repair- servicing and sell stuff. I am trusting them to service my bike if you agree tell others thank you regards dougy safe riding merry christmas

Can I endorse the comment on FWR Ltd of 330 Kennington Road. I have a 55 mile commute to central London and am very dependent on my trusty Deauville. I have twice had a rear wheel puncture sorted out by FWR (when the tyre starts to feel wobbly I pump it up to about 46 lbs and ride slowly.) First class service from friendly team at FWR, who will fix the tyre while I wait. They've also done an 8,000 mile service and replaced the head race bearing at very reasonable rates. John Hawkins
