I agree with Flooky, the Storms are the best reported for the doh. Mine behave expectionally well I'd recommend them every time.

I had them fitted to my old DV650 and I am really pleased with them, stopped the bike wandering around on roadworks trenches and the like

Indeed. I floated the same question a few months ago but stupid forgot to make a note of the suggestions. As the bike is due a major service next month I thought I might get new tyres at the same time.

Thanks for that flookyk. There seems to be so much debate and contradiction about tyres that I am just numbed by it.

The front BT021 was shot after 3,000 miles on the ST1100.

I would say, it depends on who you would rather believe ....... looking at actual users of the tyres on here, most have used Avon Storm ST's and rave about them for grip and long mileages. Or a tyre supplier who maybe does not get as much profit from Avon tyres as they do with other makes, Avon does seem cheaper than most. I had them on my DV and have now on the ST1100 but would not touch the Bridgestone BT021 on the ST1100 again.

Advice on tyres please. read an article recently where a couple of Deauville owners raved about Avon Storm STs but yesterday i went to the MCN show and a tyre supplier there told me to avoid Avon at all costs. Bridgestone, Michelin and Dunlop. were fine but not Avon. I'm now confused and need tyres for trip to Barcelona in july. Anyone have any suggestions?
